Since people from Texas are known for their hospitality, we've decided to re-share some of our favorite things to do in Big D. After all, if all of these visitors are going to be here, they might as well know the fun things to do!
First up, where to stay. If you don't already have a room by the stadium you're probably out of luck. Our advice, head to the suburbs. They're your best bet. Frisco and University Park are going to be two of your best bets. With lot to do and plenty of restaurants, you'll have plenty to do before the big game.
What to do in the days leading up to the big game? If you aren't going to one of the jillion parties around the city during Super Bowl week, head to Dallas' shopping mecca ... Northpark Mall. Northpark is the perfect mixture of mall and museum with sculpture and works of art everywhere you look. Want to play a little "Where's Waldo"? Look for one of our favorite works - a Teddy Roosevelt done by none other than Andy Warhol. With every store you could ever need, a ton of dining options, and a FAB movie theatre, you could spend an entire day at the mall and not see everything. Enjoy!
And finally, our top pick for dinner. You really can't go wrong with dining in Dallas but our very favorite (and our dinner last night) is Celebration. Located near Love Field Airport on Lovers Lane, Celebration is home style cooking at its best. Sides are served family style and everything is ALL YOU CAN EAT. We know what you're thinking ... all you can eat?! But it's not what you think. It's like your mother made all of your delicious favorites and then told you you could have more ... with white table cloths. And the yeast rolls ... you could live on those alone. Seriously.
So, to all you sports fans planning your trip to the big game, check out some of our favorite places and have a fantastic time while you're here. We only have 1 request for you. It's supposed to be in the 70s here this weekend. Please leave your cold weather at home!
